Covering a total area of 17.6 square kilometers, West Xing Subdistrict administers 13 communities with a total population of 87,032, including 37,656 non-local residents. The subdistrict benefits from convenient transportation facilitated by the Shanghai-Hangzhou, Zhejiang-Jiangxi, and Hangzhou-Ningbo railways, the Beijing-Hangzhou, Zhejiang-Eastern Zhejiang, Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo, and Hangzhou-Jinhua-Quzhou expressways, as well as the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.
