It states, "In July of the third year of the Jianyan reign (1129 AD) of the Song Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong crossed the river south and stayed in Xixi. Initially, he intended to establish the capital here but later found Fenghuang Mountain and said, 'Let's leave Xixi behind.'" Therefore, the name "Liuxia" was given and has been used ever since.
