Hangzhou Launches CPC 100th Anniversary Themed Light Shows

The Hangzhou Municipal City Appearance Center has completed the construction of supporting lighting facilities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). This year’s night light shows feature an all-round upgrade: the existing light shows along the West Lake hills (with enhanced dynamic light effects), the nightscape lighting of Hubin Pedestrian Street (integrated with red-themed projections), and the waterfront light shows along the Qiantang River (updated with CPC history-related visuals) have all been refreshed.

Additionally, a special theme light show titled “Always Follow the Party Along the Glorious Century-Old Path” will be staged at two core locations: the central axis of Qianjiang New City and the Qianjiang New City Urban Balcony. The show will run from June 24th to July 5th, with daily screening times from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM—offering citizens and visitors a stunning visual feast that combines Hangzhou’s urban beauty with red cultural heritage.
